“A Safe Trick-Or-Treat Program At Nightmare on Grayson”
We are organizing a program to target approximately 100 underprivileged and special needs children each Sunday night in October (7th, 14th, 21st, and 28 th) from 7:00P.M. – 8:30P.M. for a safe and supervised Trick-Or-Treating. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory and Chaperones are expected. Of course, we will have a few extra “Monster Passes” on hand each night in case any confusion arises in the process.
Each child will receive their own Trick-Or-Treat bag pre-stuffed with helpful Halloween Safety tips, coupons and gifts from local supporting businesses. A “Monster Pass” will be issued to the children to take to all of the Boo Stations where they’ll get a “trick or a treat” and a stamp to help guide them along. During their trek, a stop at “Friendly Fiends” and “Area 51” will provide participants with an opportunity to take part in some fun arts and crafts. All of our survivors will be given a reward at the end of their brave journey.
“Monster Passes” are the all-access pass that gets each child into the FestEvil area for free, a $2.00 value by itself! This card will be stamped at each Trick-Or-Treat station. This program does not include a trip into the Haunted House, as it is not recommended for children under the age of 10, but any child that is brave enough and wants to go in can use their completed “Monster Pass” for $3.00 OFF admission to the Haunted House that evening.
“Friendly Fiends” is a simple mask-making activity using paper, crayons, magic markers and string to create their own Halloween mask.
“Area 51” is a project using glow-sticks, beads, and vinyl cord to make a simple alien theme safety necklace that can be used for increased visibility while Trick-Or-Treating.
Nightmare on Grayson is looking for a few generous “fiends” of the family to help make this experience “frightfully fun” for everyone!
